to extreme ski sports (on Tarcu)
Muntele mic has six marked runs from 1200 m to 16000m with three lifts and flood lit night ski is now available on one lift and run the resort also has ski and snow board jumps
it is possible to go extreme skiing or snow boarding on Tarcu
The main Telescaun lift operates from December to may
with approximately 180 days of snow per year its possible to ski from November to May
access to Tarcu requires snowmobile which is available and a guide is highly recommended

a new road has been made to access the peak on muntele mic but it is passable only with snow mobile in deep snow conditions it is possible to drive up during the summer months or when the snow starts to go in the late spring.
many sporting events are staged on this resort during the ski season and also in the summer months events such as mountain bike events are held
